Buried Alive

Just take a moment to consider the horror of being buried alive.  Tightly bound by winding sheet so your arms are pinioned tightly at your side.  The complete darkness, the sensation of air fast running out.  Beginning to fight for every last breath. Is the fear of being buried alive so irrational after all? And we all know of the strange devices that were included in coffins in days gone by.  Bells mounted atop the grave with a string leading down and wound round the victims hand.  Mausoleums with special trapdoors in the side of the coffins and one in which the dead person had left instructions for a gun to be placed in his hand in the coffin in order to offer a quick way out.

I shall be reading a macabre story of the woman who was buried alive twice at the Bournemouth Six feet Under Convention next Saturday the 13th August at 1.00 in the afternoon in Bournemouth Library.  We have to do it in the middle of the day because if I told this story at night it would be just TOO scary.  Come if you dare.
